Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. The singer combines soul gospel jazz with R&B for a distinctive blend. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work everywhere. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta now, Sunshine is originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician, singing and playing at the local church. She studied at Spellman College and began to master the R&B styles of Atlanta. The year 2005 saw Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls show during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform as part of the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
